Welcome to The Lewis Foundation of Classical Ballet, a non-profit, registered charitable organization with 80G exemption established in March 2006 in Bangalore, India. The Foundation was conceived under the premise that dance is for everyone, and that it can be used as a medium of self-expression and personal development, as well as being a beautiful art form in its own right. The Lewis Foundation aims to lay the foundation for classical ballet in India, train interested and gifted dancers, sponsor exceptionally talented Indian dancers for full-time vocational dance training abroad, and bring dance to under-privileged street children in India. The objective is to establish a base of professionally trained dancers who will work together with the Foundation to enhance the overall level of western dance in India. As also to instill important life skills in street children to help shape their future.

The Lewis Foundation of Classical Ballet is pioneered by Yana Lewis (AISTD Dip.) an international ballerina and member of the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD). Armed with close to 30 years of teaching experience, Yana has developed her own unique teaching methodology combined with the ISTD Imperial Classical Ballet syllabus.

All the dancers portrayed on this website are training under Yana Lewis.
