The Lewis Foundation of Classical Ballet is committed to nurturing a future generation of dance aficionados by developing an institute of international repute that can offer full time professional courses to the immense talent that is present in India. Meanwhile, we support dancers who want to further their training by joining colleges or full time vocational diplomas abroad.

We so far have had a 100% success rate in making dreams come true for these talented individuals.

Dayita Nereyeth:

One of the youngest students and member of the Company, Dayita has secured a place at 5 universities and has decided to join Mount Holyoke for doing a double major in Dance and Literature/Psychology.

Elina Wisung:

Through rigorous training as part of the Academy, she got into London Studio Centre, London. She then returned to the Academy to train as a teacher and simultaneously secured a BA in Dance Education through the Royal Academy of Dance under the mentorship of Yana Lewis. She also achieved a merit in ISTD Intermediate exam.

Lal Anirvan Singh:

After giving up a lucrative career in IT, Lal joined the Academy in 2005 and moved to the pre-professional course to accelerate his journey towards auditioning for a full-time vocational school. He was awarded a place at Laine Theatre Arts & Bird College and is now pursuing a 3 year degree in Musical Theatre at Bird College.

Pooja Mehta:

From Mumbai, Pooja moved to Bangalore in May 2009 determined to go for full time vocational dance training abroad. She advanced from being a student to an apprentice in the pre-professional course, and has now secured a place in Laine Theatre Arts, UK.

Rukmini Vijaykumar:

An excellent Bharatnatyam dancer, Rukmini was one of the earlier students to train with Yana in India. Along with extensive training in Ballet, she took training in Callenetics, Pilates & Yoga which helped her improve her Bharatnatyam as well. She got into The Boston Conservatory in 2004 and is the first Indian to graduate with a Dance degree from The Boston Conservatory.

Siddananda Babbur Mutt:

Sid’s sincerity and passion for dance combined with our training enabled him to secure a place in Northern Ballet, Bird College and Laine Theatre Arts in 2005. Ballet being his first love, he choose to join Northern Ballet, UK. Due to financial constraints & visa issues, he was unable to pursue his 3 year course.
