The Foundation is looking to expand its activities by working with partners in various fields. These could be suppliers of lighting, sound, stage, design and costumes, or those who wish to work with the Foundation to bring quality performances and workshops to Indian audiences. The Foundation could also partner with owners of dance studios and dance facilities, who are willing to offer their space.
NGOs, schools and other organisations working with under-privileged children in India are invited to partner with the Foundation to bring dance within the purview of their regular activities. Workshops and performances could be held at the organisation's own premises or at the Foundation's studio once this is up and running.
Yana Lewis Dance Company
The Yana Lewis Dance Company (YLDC) is an ensemble of Indian and international dancers, formed in 2002. The company's diverse repertoire covers a wide range of dance styles, including classical ballet, jazz, jazz ballet, tap and African-inspired tribal dance.
The Company enjoys a well-deserved reputation for staging performances
that are versatile and top quality - professionally, technically and
artistically, and has performed extensively at corporate shows for
companies such as IBM, Hughes Software, DNA, Wells Fargo and BPL, as
well as at private functions for multinational companies. The
prestigious Taj Group of Hotels counts among the Company's
clientele. The Company has performed regularly at their hotels in Goa,
Bangalore, Chennai and Kerala.
In addition, YLDC has performed at other 5-star hotels , including
Kumarakom Lake Resort in Kerala, been part of fashion shows, charity
events and various art festivals, and was part of the Architectural
Award Ceremony, India, at the Bolgatty Palace in Kochi. The Company
performed at the first healthcare awards event in India sponsored by
GE. And the dancers have also performed for television, enhancing the
film and television award ceremonies of channels like Asianet, Kairali
TV and Udaya TV.
Yana continues to audition and train dancers in India to expand the Company and to offer her dancers the opportunity to perform. Yana's inspired choreography, performed by the dedicated members of the Company offers audiences both quality and innovation.
