Thank you for patiently waiting for admission to our ballet class. We had a very busy 2019 with 2 big productions, Night in the Toy Store featuring our younger ballerinas and The Sleeping Beauty, featuring our senior students and dancers from the National Youth Ballet company. More than 800 students performed in front of a full house across 3 days in Bangalore with one performance completely dedicated to our Outreach programme where over 1000 students from various NGOs enjoyed a beautiful live ballet performance, many for the first time in their lives.
2020 started with new admissions for Term 1, promotions in classes, celebrating & acknowledging the successful shows and setting the annual calendar for 2020 with exciting events, competitions along with assessments and international ISTD exams. The first term for 2020 started in February while the COVID-19 crisis was knocking on India’s doors. March saw the lock-down and we closed all offline classes and moved them to the online medium swiftly for the safety and security of our students. What started with weekly class training videos , technical tips and assignments transformed into online Zoom sessions as we anticipated the COVID-19 crisis to prevail longer than expected. A keen desire to ensure learning continues for our students, feedback / encouragement from parents, high attendance in all classes, has kept us on our toes and here we are entering Term 2 of 2020 in August.
Good news now ! Some places are available for classes in different locations for the term starting August 2020 up to January 2021 (6 months).
All classes will be conducted online, until the government permits the schools and training institutes to reopen and we feel it is absolutely safe for the students to return to the studio. The new students will join a special orientation and induction track before being integrated with the main class. The induction classes , starting in July, are specifically geared to familiarize the new students with the online class environment , the teacher and mode of instruction. No additional fees will be charged for these classes.
The induction classes will start with an orientation session where one of the parents has to be present for a live group introduction and Q&A session with Miss. Yana Lewis, the Principal of the school. These will be followed up by regular weekly classes until they are ready to be integrated into the main class.
